PANAMA CITY — Bay County commissioners approved a $2.6 million offer Tuesday from BP to settle a claim for lost tourism tax revenue.
The Tourism Development Council (TDC) had entered into settlement talks with BP following the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill prior to the 2010 tourism season. TDC officials were looking to recoup $2.9 million in loss tax revenue. The agreement between the TDC and BP does not preclude the county from future claims and legal
