Some insurers began making claim payments to homeowners as early
as Saturday morning in the wake of the Good Friday storms,
according to the Missouri Department of Insurance.
Most of those claims thus far have been for temporary living
arrangements for residents whose houses are uninhabitable, John
Huff, the state's insurance director, said in a statement.
"One insurer has already reported more than 300 claims, and
we'll be monitoring the situation
