What happens if we go to small claims court?

I am likely going to be taking my former landlord to small claims court regarding the fact that she used more than 25% of my deposit for repairs/cleaning that she did not mention during the final inspection. I know what I stand to gain by taking her to small claims, but what do I stand to lose? Is there any way that I would have to pay her more
