What is the career track for claims management? And is this a good job?

I know you can start off as a claims examiner or claims adjuster and then move into a supervisory role, but what comes after this? How high up can you go? What are the upper management, director, and exectutive positions that are the natural outgrowth from these jobs? Is this a growing field?
